The rain is gently falling today, but it’s not dreary. This mountainous community in northeastern Albania is beautiful, even with all of its economic, social, and spiritual challenges. And one thing is clear: God’s faithful and gracious love continues to fall softly upon us all.
The team understands that we are ambassadors for Christ, and that God is making His appeal through us, just as He does with all His people. It happens mostly by our actions, but also with loving, affirming words. It’s not hard to do. It comes fairly naturally, as long as we’re prayerful about it. “Just be yourself,” is the old saying, and that’s what we’re doing. And we understand that it’s Spirit-empowered, joined by the prayers of our supporters and senders.
I just heard the Muslim call to prayer wafting down the mountain valley, and I’m listening to the river run as I write these words – “…you will be my witnesses…to the ends of the earth.” We’re off to a team dinner and some time of relaxation.
Thanks for your prayers!
