Dear Friends of EEMN,
The 2018 Albania Team is making preparations for our second short-term mission. Tomorrow, Saturday, May 19, will be our fifth team training meeting via Zoom. Though technology is truly fraught with abuse, it
is equally an amazing tool for ministry! Our team members are spread across many locations, from New Mexico to Wisconsin to Minnesota to Washington - and even Latvia! - yet we have been drawn close through our online visits and training. We are excited, and ready to embrace the wonderful opportunity to make Christ known through our words and actions, as we partner with our hosts in Peshkopi, Albania, Pastor Ermal and Sarah Lushi, and missionaries, Dan and Dawn Hall.
Our team is comprised of EEMN Director, Pastor David Breidenbach, EEMN Director of Development, Angela Breidenbach, Steve and Linda Meyer, Deborah Lunde, Ruthie Lindberg, Arta Millere, and Phil and Carolyn Lee. We are the "goers" on this particular team.
However, it's important to remember that Christian mission has always included the equally vital role of "senders." We read of this especially in the book of Acts. As the apostle Paul and his partners went "to the ends of the earth," there were always folks who sent them with prayer and material support. All of us on the Albania Team send our heart-felt thanks to our senders, and cordially invite other readers of this blog to become senders. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would guide every step of our journey.
Pr. Phil & Carolyn Lee are the EEMN Albania Team Leaders. After serving as team members in 2017 they grew a true affinity for the people and for the stunning land of Albania. After faithfully serving Deny Park Lutheran in Seattle, Pr. Phil & Carolyn now spend much of their time serving in Arizona at Shepherd's Canyon Retreat Center for pastors, spouses, and ministry leaders in need of emotional and spiritual support.
